Atlas Copco’s Mining and Rock Excavation Technique business area provides solutions under four specific divisions Surface Drilling Equipment, Underground Rock Excavation, Atlas Copco Drilling Solution, Geotechnical Technical Drilling & Exploration Rock Drilling Tools & Mining Rock Excavation Service.

The Surface Drilling division develops, manufactures and markets products for surface application required for various mining & quarry application.

In 2012, Surface Drilling Division, entered in the business to support Dimension Stone Industry, this is being done through range of products, which comes from erstwhile “Perfora”. For the first time, the Mining and Rock Excavation Technique business, participated in the Stone Mart exhibition in a big way, by showcasing products from Surface Drilling division specifically designed for DSI application.

SDE displayed hydraulic drills – Rock Buggy & Flexi ROC T15, and also the Pneumatic model, Speedrill.

Construction Technique also participated in a big way by displaying XAH236, QLTM10, XA140E from portable energy and MB1500 from CTO. Additionally, RH65858 JH and SB452 breaker were part of the exhibition.
